UCCS’ Annual Significant Speaker Event features actor and social media sensation Josh Peck. Josh is the Nickelodeon teen star from the show “Drake and Josh” and also starred in Christopher Nolan’s explosive movie “Oppenheimer” as Kenneth Bainbridge. Josh also stared in films and shows such as “Locating Silver Lake and Take the 10,” as well as starring as John Stamos’ son in the Fox series “Grandfathered” as well as Dan Fogelman’s film “Danny Collins.” Josh’s new book “Happy People are Annoying” is a humorous and candid memoir reflecting on the stumbles and silver linings of his life—including early struggles with food, drugs, self-esteem, and self-sabotage—and traces a zigzagging path to redemption. In his talk, Josh will share some of these life successes and challenges, how to take on the challenges, and provides advice on how folks can accept their past and make peace with the various complications and doubts one has in the wake of controversy and challenge.
Please note this event is at Gallogly Events Center on the main UCCS campus and not at the Ent Center for the Arts.
