It's time to carry the banner with Disney's Newsies presented by Colorado Springs based Starz Theater Company! Set in turn-of-the century New York City, Newsies is the story of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of street kids called "newsies." When titans of the publishing world raise distribution prices at the expense of the newsboys, Jack rallies newsies from all over New York City to strike against the unfair systems that plagued many children of that day.

Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by actual events, Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein. Please join the over 100 students of Starz Theater Company for this incredible event.  Featuring the now classic songs “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” Disney's Newsies is packed with non-stop action and an inspiring message, perfect for the entire family and every audience.
