Thanksgiving dinner looms over a grocery store in 1970s America, when Luna and Jane, immigrants from The Philippines and Korea and both medical student wives, strike up a conversation over matching coats and matching challenges. With a suspiciously frozen turkey in the oven, the two women bond over disco, Disneyland, and the drive to make a home that--until tonight-- has felt so isolated.
